Range Rover Main dealer CJB problem

Hi everyone

My wife has a Range Rover Sport 2008 2,7 diesel.

The car over recent months has started to suffer from numerous electrical faults predominantly located in the cab, such as jerky electronic seat movement, wing mirrors and steering wheel adjustment ceased to work etc.

I have replaced various modules such as the seat etc. but to no avail.

The car went into a reputable local garage and he said that via his diagnostic's all signs pointed to the CJB/BCM. He thought it may have been down to water ingress causing greening.
I was then forced to take the car into my local Range Rover dealer at Maidstone, where they would obviously not commit but did state that its highly probable it could be the CJB. I therefore order the part specific to my chassis number at a cost of nearly £500 and an estimated £500 to fit and upload the remainder of the software.

I have just collected the car and they said they took the old one out and found one of the plugs going into the rear of the CJB, the securing clip had been snapped off and the plug was therefore not sitting properly. They also said there were a couple of bare wires. They tried to fit the new CJB but said it would not take the software upload in there opinion due to the faulty plug.

There conclusion is that it needs an entire new loom (part number given was YMC510470), they quoted £1500 for the loom and an additional £3000 to install, all because it needs a new plug connector.

I am therefore proposing to source a second hand loom off ebay and swap the plugs along with repairing the damaged bared wires. I can find loads of looms on ebay but none with the exact same part number, my question is are any other looms compatible in respect of the plugs going into the CJB.
If this will work it would obviously save me a fortune.

Any advise would be greatly appreciated.

Would the D3 connectors fit

Would you D3 loom connectors fit on this CJB.

If so can you let me know how much you would want for it.

Thank you

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Java Black

4.5k for a loom installed. Do they just make the prices up out of thin air? Who would pay that seriously you could pick a 2005 sport for that if you looked hard enough.
