Range Rover car door logo pavement projector

Anyone fitted these to a 2005 range rover sport ?

Is there enough clearance on the bottom of the door?

Thanks

Stewart

I bought the above type from ultra-hids. These didn't need any drilling as they were a direct replacement for the originals. current 2015 hse dynamic, grey.

Thanks for the reply I think the problem with the 2005 model is the lights are vertical rather than horizontal in the doors panel.

I bought the same as pko for my 2005 RRS and they work well.
Not quite the same image you see in the advert but not far off.
One thing you do need to do is cut out a small plastic part in the door slot where the lights fit in, it's easy enough to do with some snippers or sharp craft knife/chisel. 2016 RRS SVR Estoril Blue
2005 4.2L Supercharged Java Black - gone but was my first love.

If we all point our RR's in the same direction and accelerate at the same time can we turn back time?

Here's a picture of mine. As you can see the logo is not very clear although I seem to remember when I first fitted it it pointed down more and was more focused. I have a feeling it can be focused by moving the bulb.
I haven't looked to see if it's moved or if I can adjust it but hope it helps.

Thank you for taking the time to take a photo and sharing,

I think the ones that are focused straight down would provide a better image, i may take a chance on the clearance or mount them in the wing mirror lights, so i get a vertical beam

Thanks again

Stewart

These are the ones I have, not everyone's cup of tea but amuses me. It is a later facelift variant though so the door one's shine straight down.

Australia 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Santorini Black

I installed some about 2.5years ago in my 2010 TDV8. They were quite expensive at UKP60 for a pair The novelty wore off in about 5 minutes. Fortunately I found that the drivers side image started to fade after about 6 months and at 12 months the image was virtually just a fuzzy image. The problem with these projector units is that they use a plastic slide with the image which sits in front of the Led unit and the Led unit gets very hot so the image on the plastic films gets bleached. This did not happen on the passenger side as the door hardly ever got opened.
The good thing is you can remove the plastic film which is held in place by a small plastic cartridge - and WOW these units are now the brightest puddle lights you can get. Putting in Led bulbs in the original door units doesnt come close in light output compared to thes units.

Highly recommended with the image slide removed.

Photographs of my puddle lights
The front is the projector unit with the picture slide removed and the rear lamp is the original type unit with the brightest Led bulb that I could find.

You can see that the difference between the two is significant.
