Canada 2010 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black
Best summer performance tire.

Ladies and Gentlemen,

I call upon your infinite wisdom and guidance as I make my way through tire buying HELL!

Seeing as how winter is fast approaching and summer tires are selling at discount prices here in Canada I was wondering what the group's recommendations are...... The summer conditions under which I will be using them here are cool in the early months of April, May. Warming up in June and very hot from July through to September. Not as much rain as the British islands but we can go through week long spells from time to time. Looking for 275x40 R20 for my 2010 RRS S/C

AAAAAND GO!!! Rolling with laughter

The best pure summer tyre I personally have found is the Michelin Latitude 3, very good in the wet and also exceptionally quiet running, might be worth going up to a 275/45 profile as well, gives a slightly improved ride. Thumbs Up

Cheers

Thanks Col,

How stiff is the sidewall on those things? My driving is NOT conventional so I'm throwing it into the turns fairly aggressively. I agree that the 45 profile is a smoother ride and actually, it fills the well far better and looks better than the 40 profile. The only issue I have with 45's is the sidewall not holding well in the turns. I can literally feel the sidewall slightly collapse while turning at high speeds.

I have had really good experiences with Vredestein tyres.
