Is there a simple way to disable the need to have ignition on to move windows and seats etc.

Nope. Do they really need to be messing with seats once they’re in and comfortable? As for window opening, if it gets too hot, open the door.....

If it goes off can't you press the power on button. It won't start obviously, but I thought it still turned things on such as windows. 2012 RRS SDV6

Perhaps it's all part pf the "Stupid" anti-trap feature which stops kid's or even animals if left in the car alone for whatever reason with the window partly open strangling themselves by accidentally closing the window when their head is stuck outside, or possibly opening the window and falling out splitting their head open on the concrete, tarmac or whatever. I think the actual "anti-trap" feature is actually a legal requirement now.

a work around is to open the wind a center-meter before switching off.
