I would have thought it should be replaced/repaired under warranty if not brought to your attention, after all it could be classed as dangerous if show heel etc got caught in it.

Evening John - thanks for your reply. If I'm honest it wasn't there before hand. I had already cleaned the area a couple of times & I never noticed it. I believe my son got a little carried away but he's seven years old & shouldn't cause that damage with a poxy vacuum.
