Carpet Torn.

So I've had my new toy 12 days - Fuji White - Santorini contrast roof - Autobiography. Due to my total knee replacement surgery 6 weeks ago I've only really drove the Sport short distances but love it Very Happy
Extras on top - Surround camera system - Dual View - rear entertainment - heated & cooled front & rear seats. 3rd row electric seats - remote fuel heater with remote & electric deployable side steps. Plus all the other usual AB toys.
Issues - first the faded - worn P button on the gear selector - thanks to the members on here sorted & replaced Thumbs Up
The side steps was a little tired & spoiled the overall look - these have been removed taken apart & being repainted - sealed by professionals ( a cost to me but worth the effort ) Thumbs Up
Today I decided to clean the interior leather with Autoglym leather cleaner & balm - no issues all ok Thumbs Up

I had shampooed the carpet & all was fine - I had vacuumed once & then my 7 year old son asked for a go. He called me with a worried look - the left hand side of the drivers heel mat where it meets the carpet had basically been torn Big Cry
I believe this is a known fault - I was interested in another RRS the approved dealer made me aware there was a rip in the drivers footwell carpet because the previous owner was a lady. Rolling Eyes

I didn't purchase approved used but do have 11 months extended warranty & 2 more services left as part of a 5 year service pack.

Anybody had the same issue & how was it resolved - it's spoils my 50th Birthday present to myself Big Cry 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............

Wales 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Lux Sumatra Black

I would have thought it should be replaced/repaired under warranty if not brought to your attention, after all it could be classed as dangerous if show heel etc got caught in it.

I hope your pain is easing now and you are on the road to full recovery my friend. Thumbs Up John

Evening John - thanks for your reply. If I'm honest it wasn't there before hand. I had already cleaned the area a couple of times & I never noticed it. I believe my son got a little carried away but he's seven years old & shouldn't cause that damage with a poxy vacuum. Evil or Very Mad

My pain is bearable - it's the nights that I suffer - can't get comfortable & suffering from insomnia but I bet you can relate to that Crying or Very sad

Hope your on the mend my old pal Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
