Finally got round to configuring an MY18 last night. Like for like spec, it came to about £8-9k more than what my current MY16 AB was. And yes, didn't see caliper option on the configurator but it isn't something really important to me personally.

Also noticed they are calling it "New Range Rover Sport". A bit misleading to any newbies IMHO Confused. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top
Gone: MY16 RRS2 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography Dynamic, Carpathian Grey & Santorini Black Sliding Pano/Ebony & Ivory 2 Tone
Gone: MY13 RRS 3.0 SDV6 HSE Black Edition, Orkney Grey/Ivory
Gone: MY09 RRS 2.7 TDV6 HSE, Santorini Black/Almond

Yes, I guess it could be around £35-40k to change if I was going to upgrade now and was a cash buyer. Neither is true though. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

You can not seem to add painted calipers to the autobiography anymore,I don't want standard brake calipers as they look dreadful after a bit use, anybody else seen this?

i noticed this as soon as the configurator was up too while speccing up a SDV6 Autobiography.

If however, you spec up a 5.0 V8 instead then the painted caliper option is available! They have Landrover on them as opposed to Brembo previously. Can always get these done afterwards but it was something i was just comparing on the like for like configurator of a my17 car i spec'd a few weeks before (and ordered, which is now going got be a MY18).

another thing i noticed is is that there are no options of sidesteps showing on the configurator. i know these are dealer fit options after the car arrives to them from the factory but we have no idea if they have changed in appearance and to add it to a build.

I was also confused on if the 'dual view' screen is still applicable? i.e satnav from oneside and dvd from the other for the passengers etc or is that now standard on the new dual pro screens..?

i have also ticked the box for a full size (22'') spare wheel, but have also ticked the 1700w Meridian system. I assumed the subwoofer for this is in the spare wheel well.. but if theres a 22'' wheel there im unsure how that works unless the sub is somewhere else.

Pretty cack configurator as i found even building the my17 cacr to be honest. My salesman in Cardiff is having training on the MY17 cars as we speak and i was told to see him after tommorow to finalizse my car.

will be interesting to see what the end numbers are RE LR contribution and discount as i understand they have now gone a little shy on offering this. If it means getting some of my optional extra's for 'free' or next to, to secure a deal, then so be it. will report back Thursday.

possibly, get comfortable!

haha. i think its to do with the official release of spec on the MY17 being last week and them having dealership training over the course of yesterday till tommorow.

i have absolutely noooooo doubt in my mind that i'll havequestions that he wont be able to answer.

such as, where has my discount gone..

When the configurator went live you could spec the coloured brakes it changed after a day or two and this option dissapeared.

Good point. I didn't see sidesteps and mudflaps on the configurator either. So it wasn't really like-for-like that I spec'd. Assuming I haven't missed anything else, the difference in price compared to my current car would then be more like £10k. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Nice one, sounds like a nice colour combo.

March delivery is certainly later than the Jan delivery i was told for mine, was you able to obtain any discount or sweeteners?

Is there any more info on the painted calipers option on the new model? I think it's an error on the web site but no one at the dealer has confirmed this yet? Has anyone else ordered this option?

When the new models come out the build on line only seems to be around 90% correct, typical LR, I remember this time last year when the my17 came out there was no deployable side step option & dealers again didn't know why or if they were available for a month or 2 as posts on here confirmed at the time.

It would seem we just have to wait & see again!
