What protective gear will fit a Sport?

Seems there is a lot of kit being produced for the D3 and D4 these days but does any of it fit the Sport?
For example, will this fit?

If you go to the Rimmers site they have accessories book (order or download) which has a separate section for RRS and tells you what fits what model in listings of other parts. They do several useful catalogues etc which includes original, OEM and copy parts to suit your pocket. They will also help on phone if anything you are not sure about.

There is of course our sponsors on here to, which may do similar catalogues, but I've not seen. John

Very little off road kit is available for the RRS - they're polished and have silly body kits added to them instead. Oh, and everyone knows they're rubbish off road and in the snow... Whistle

The ProSpeed stuff doesn't fit - I've asked them about the undertrays and they said "no" because the profile of the bends at the front is different. I bought a Disco compressor guard from them. It's sat in my garage because it doesn't fit. I should get it modded to fit I guess or sell it on to someone with a Disco. It seems the relationship between the chassis rail and unibody mounting holes is different between RRS and Disco.

N4 (a French company) make some plates for the RRS but they don't extend under the chin in a useful way. The rear diff plate is a big bit of ally sheet - had a look at one at the weekend in Les Comes. No idea how useful it would be.

ASFIR make some stuff too which is Disco-based I think.

N4 make a full suite for the Disco and tbruk show some of it on their RRS page too so perhaps it is interchangeable. I like the look of the N4 transfer box plate. This is the one area that causes me concern as it's all exposed and there are wires looping that could catch a stick and be damaged. The LR plates under the engine seem to do a good enough job for most uses. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Oh, one more thing - the ProSpeed rear diff guard might fit as it's a localised item but it's an expensive "trial and error" at over Β£300.

Be nice if it did fit as it would effectively give you an easily accessible, single central point to jack up the rear end. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

It's ironic that ProSpeed see a market for FFRR off road parts but not for RRS ones. Says it all, sadly. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders

Hi,
Resurrecting this tread, i am in need of a front skid plate for my MY08 sport but it seems no one makes them anymore. I am looking to the Mantec type ones.

Spoke with Mantec and everything sport has been discontinued........

Cheers.

Hi Diversurfer,

Mine was an original Mantec Facelift non-winch guard that I modified to fit a LR winch tray. As you have an early pre Facelift car you need to look for a G4 winch guard that fits with out a winch as no other non winch guard was ever made for the RR Sport.

I did have one but i sold it to a member on here that had a rare TDV8 G4 Challenge vehicle. They are very rare so the chances of finding them are a nightmare.

There is an Australian member on here that used a Disco 3 or 4 Guard on an early RR Sport and he made it fit. I will see if i can find the post Thumbs Up 2003 BMW M5 - 5 Litres of V8 Optimax Slurping Goodness in Carbon Black
