Which are the correct Apative Lights for my car?

I have a 2007 RRS HSE and the OSF headlamp has died. The yellow adaptive warning was flashing for a few days as well.

The part number on mine is XBC501763LZN. Obviously I dont want to pay the price for a new part, but there are lots of other 2nd hand lights for sale with slightly different codes.

Is the above code the only one to fit? Or will other fit and work just as well? Previously owned 1999 Disco 2 TD5
Disco 3 HSE TDV6 2007
Gone 2007 TDV8 RRS1 in Buckingham Blue.

How do know if the knocking at the front has been sorted?

You can hear the knocking at the rear better

You need a ‘RH adaptive bi xenon with corner light incl controller’

Your part number is superseded by number LR012440

Other part numbers also superseded with the same number are XBC501762LZN, XBC501763LZN, XBC502280LZN

Thanks gents, but I think I'm more confused than ever. Why are there so many different codes? And does it mean that there is a range of them that will fit and work?

Is the main dipped headlamp not replaceable itself? Question Previously owned 1999 Disco 2 TD5

Can’t answer that, if I had to guess, little modifications and updates generate new part numbers for essentially the same item. I’ve noticed it happens a lot with LR. I recently replaced the radio/6CD in mine and there were numerous part numbers that were suitable.

As for dismantling the headlight and just changing the adaptive dipped beam, again, no idea but others might. Personally I’d replace the whole thing with a new one if it were mine that had failed. If buying a used one, you might be lucky but there’s always that risk of it failing within a short time, throwing money down the drain.

There are many threads on this forum about these headlights. Brand new from LR they are around £1,000!

I don't know of anyone whose found them serviceable.

Be aware that some have replaced various bits of the headlight wiring and control systems but not fixed the problem so make sure your are as certain as you can be where the fault lies before spending money. Robin
