Removing a rear HST bumper

Hi, I am new to this forum and only had my sport a day. So still learning my way around it.

Anyway, I need to replace one of the rear parking sensors and gather I need to remove the bumper to do this job.

My Sport is a HST. Is the bumper removal the same as on the hse's etc?

Cheers

James

Exactly same as HSE etc. it's just the HST has a couple of extensions on the rear lower edge of the bumper due to it being slightly deeper, still easy enough just a few extra self tappers if I remember correctly.

Cheers

Thanks guys,

The only thing i have noticed is that my hst rear bumper doesnt have the top bumper protector plate. Looking at that youtube video I see that under the protector plate, there was some little push in lugs to remove.

I guess mine has no securing lugs on that area?

Yes, completely forgot the HST bumper has a extra strengthening panel along the top edge which is retained by the push in retainers, the bumper is then clipped into the additional panel, you do not need to remove the strengthening panel to remove the bumper itself just unclip it, but it should have either a plastic or the stainless steel optional tread plate. The plastic one is clipped in the stainless one is held in place with double sided 3M tape.

Cheers
