Newbie looking to purchase first RRS

Hello everyone , im looking to purchase my first RRS . I have looked at quite a few and cant really make my mind up . I have seen a 2012 black Autobiography sport 3.0 sdv6 which is very nice .

What should i look out for with these models in particular . Im currently upgrading from a td5 Very Happy so quite and update for me .

Im a little worried about turbo problems , are they an issue on the 3.0 sdv6 ? The car is a 2012 with 53k on the clock .
Just looking for as much info and help as possible . thanks

Welcome Thumbs Up
I have owned 2 - 12MY AB Sports over a period of 4 years - only issue I had was a rear ARC bar needed replacing which was thankfully covered by warranty ( £2k approx cost ). I was advised on suspension components but part exchanged the RRS before they was needed ( these again would have been covered on warranty )

The general rule of thumb is to buy with a bullet proof warranty or atleast purchase a warranty ASAP.

Do you have a link to the proposed purchase ?

You are in the right place for advice on the Sport Thumbs Up 16MY Estoril Blue SVR.............
17MY Autobiography Dynamic - Corris Grey - WOW.
14MY Autobiography Dynamic - SDV6 - Fuji White Smile
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Santorini Black - Dual View - Rear Entertainment - Sunroof.
12MY Autobiography - SDV6 - Orkney Grey - awesome ;(
2005 Java Black - 4.2 V8 Supercharged First Edition- will never be forgotten ;(

Ireland 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HST Santorini Black

I have a 2012 TDV6. Bought it with 73k on the clock 2 years ago. Crankshaft sensor, front lower wishbones, air suspension and rocker assy have all had to be done on it. All paid for by warranty. Only a hose that needed replacing have I had to pay for.

Give the car a good test drive and check for any noises you hear and also for steering wheel wobble when braking. Check the service history and see what works have been carried out.

As peachy said a good warranty is a must.

Great car otherwise.

I bought a Autobiography sport from Harwoods Edenbridge 9 months ago with used approved warranty and apart from having the brakes bleed as the pedal was spongy 2 weeks after buying it I've had no problems with the car. It was on 28k miles when bought and now on 32k miles so not a lot of use but I love how it drives and it's a lovely place to sit on long journeys.

I've had no issues but still think I would want that peace of mind knowing if it did I have a good warranty to get it sorted as these cars can be very expensive to repair. 2017 SVR. SVO Scafell grey Ebony interior
2012 3.0 SDV6 Autobiography santorini black with ebony/cirrus interior. Gone

Hi all , thanks for the replies , PEACHY here is a link to the car http://www.bexhillmotors.co.uk/used-car-la...sport-6615 .

Driven the car and it pulls very well couldnt hear any strange noises but then as this will be my first im unsure what it should sound like , but sounded good to me .

Has 4 land rover stamps and the rest has been done by an indie in reading . The only issue i can see is the warranty that comes with the car has a claim limit of 2k so maybe not the best .

cheers for the help guys

what a fine car that is , approved used warranty still going to catch you out on wear and tear items ?

I have never had anything denied due to wear and tear apart from brake pads and disks. Plus you get LR assist to help you if you get stuck and a courtesy car till yours is fixed. As far as I know they approved used is the beat warranty you can get on a used, although others might disagree and prove me wrong.

But yes wear and tear is not included.

That is a damn slow website. So slow it's almost unusable. Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Spiffing wheel centre caps available
