Rear Suspension Settling

There are lots of threads on settling suspension - mine is settling at the rear - equally on both sides - air leak or valve block.

Now not likely to be an air leak at the wheels (bag or line) as both sides settle down equally so I suspect the system us letting the air out BUT - it only happens at night. Car is parked up during the day and nothing happens - no suspension drop - when parked up at night in the same spot the suspension has dropped in the morning.

Is there something that happens in the car systems just at night - doubtful. However daytime temps are are up to around 15 degrees C but drop to below freezing (about 4 in the garage) at night - is there anything with changes in temp that cause the rear suspension to drop after the car has gone to sleep in lower temps.

There are no fault codes associated with this so the car thinks all is OK.

Any thoughts?

Cheers

If you haven't serviced the rear valve block in a while, or replaced the seals that's always a good start.

Pain to get to. I believe you remove the spare wheel?

Thanks - nothing on the suspension system has been touched or serviced in its life so I may have to have a look at that.

I would pull the EAS fuse and see whether it still drops. For not, it's something electronic. If it does still drop them it's a leak. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Thanks for the information - is that fuse an engine bay or cabin fuse?

Cheers

Engine bay.

One of the small 20A ones.

Do a search on here. Mentioned loads. Usually when the whole car is on the deck in the morning

Thanks I will find it.

I went 4wding yesterday with lots of very steep decents and climbs on loose rocky trails - a lot at the equivalent of extended and super extended height so the air system got a good work out (is did the tyres and traction control).

The car did not settle at all over night so is something intermittent.

garrycol - Out of interest, when you park up overnight are you on flat ground or on a gradient? Barrie.
