United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 Autobiography Stornoway Grey
Issues

Hi guys
My 2010 Range Rover sport won't go into access mode. I have changed all the shocks and also changed all of the valves. I have gone through every single sinario and just won't go into access mode and just says going into extended mode. I have changed everything compressor valves , height sensors checked all pipes and wiring and still having issue.
Can anyone shed any light have I missed something all help would be appreciated before I burn it.
Many thanks

United Kingdom 2008 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Java Black

The usual reason for that behaviour is that someone has changed the ride height to be lower. If the ride height is changed by say 10 mm then all ride heights (access, standard and offroad) are reduced by the same amount. If ride height reduced by more than 15mm then it is possible for the access height to be so low it hits the bump stops and the car thinks it is grounded and goes into extended mode to clear the obstacle it thinks is there.

If this is your problem then all you need to do is reset the ride height to standard measurements and calibrate the height sensors and all will be well. You need a diagnostic tool to do that so buy one or go to a local specialist. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Have you replaced the pump?

I had same issues and tried everything you did doing my best to avoid replacing the pump. My logic was that because it is able to go to extended mode then the pump should be find. Must be valves etc. Well at the end I just went ahead and replaced the pump since I hunted around and found a oem replacement one pretty reasonable ($750aus), under 300£ in online, and solved my problems. If I went straight for pump would of saved me hassles and hours reading forums and trying all the easy fixes.

Good luck.
