Any suggestions appreciated

Couple of times over the last few days while I have been driving a message has come onto my radio screen saying "vehicle fault shutting down". The radio goes off..then the temperature controls...then the sat nav and finally I lose digital display from the dash but the speedo rev counter fuel and water temp gauges all keep working. I think my hazard lights come on as well. After about 1 min it all restores to normal. Any help would be appreciated.

I bought one of these when I was concerned about my alternator, found it very useful.

Have checked the battery and alternator (mate lent me a battery analyser) the results I got were
battery. 12.3
no load. 14.16
loaded. 14.3
The analyser said all ok. In the middle of the test it happened again so I switched off engine. I got a message saying
"park brake fault and "hdc fault. system not available". The car wouldn't start. By releasing and reapplying handbrake I could hear a motor running. This sounds like it could be expensive. Big Cry

Battery seems not to bad i have heard on here about some loose connections to the rear of the instrument panel and it may be worth you checking the rear of the radio to make sure everything is plugged in correctly the noise you heard is the motor for winding in and out the hand brake shoes Thumbs Up

Before pulling the dash apart would it not be wise to read the fault codes using a tool capable of reading land rover faults not just generics?
Also check the battery connections and earths for tightness and good contact. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
