It should come on when the temp drops below 5-6 degrees or if you read the manuel on the IID tool website it tells you how to test fire it Thumbs Up

hi thanks for the info/suggestions..the altox thread is for a disco.?.does this apply to me.?...although the iid tool would be useful for so many more things I need to know if a range rover sport 2008 has the option for timed park heating.(therefore able to blow warm air into the cabin) hidden in the ecu files and able to be enabled)..as buying the diagnostic tool would be an expensive experiment if its an impossibility..thanks.

They are very similar cars and you would need a kit to turn on the fbh as that software was removed on earlier cars including yours i would suspect with a software update from land rover why do you ask if you can turn it on and by the way having access to IID tool or similar is almost a must with these cars or knowing a friendly indi who can help Thumbs Up

You don't need to enable anything on your year car, you just need to fit the Altox kit that I sell (just taken another delivery in prep for winter!)

Any dates yet on when the tool might be updated to enable MY17 cars with FBHs?
