Yeah I see what you mean. Except he never said there are historical fault codes either. Anyway, £40 on Friday sounds like it will be money well spent because I've had long discussions with the guy at 4W about this. He's been very objective so far.

I told him I never get an engine management light on and the car still powers up and pulls like a train.... he went silent and said "now that is a curve ball for sure"... Rolling with laughter

Perhaps these codes are historical... I've driven it to North Wales 140 miles with no issues... returned home with the car occasionally losing all engine power. Drove to Leicester at a steady 70 and the car lost all power about 5 times. I've even had the car drive nicely without the cattle grid rumble between 30 & 40 with me thinking hey it's all gone away... Shocked

Go figure... Confused

When the dealer agreed to meet with me at his mechanics ...

Long story short... he drove it with the diagnostic machine and came back to show me a clean sheet. (I wasn't in the car at this point).

If I'm being cynical I'd say he cleared the faults before he showed me

His mechanic? You not present? Yeah, sounds like a stitch up to me.

How long have you had the car? I'd be thinking of handing it back for a refund if it's a recent purchase. This dealer is going to deny any issues you raise and you'll be left with an expensive heap. Move on.

Yeah he drove it a second time without me.

I'm within my statutory period since I notified him of faults within the first 30 days.
