Will FFRR 20" with 255-55-20 fit my 2010 RR Sport (no b

Now that I have two sets of cracked / bent / buckled wheels and tyres I've been offered a set of 2017 FFRR wheels. They're 8.5 wide +47 offset. I'm more concerned about the moon buggy tyres being 55 profile. Adds an inch apparently.

Will these fit ok? May stop some of the crashy ride!

Many thanks

Alan

Hi Alan,

Way too big! I have 19's on my 2011, tyres are 255/50 and about bang on speedo wise. Not only will your speedo under read, you will put more strain on the gearbox and the car will suck even more fuel!!

PS Nowt 'moon buggy' about 55 profile Wink

Hi Alan.

You're looking at the same wheels and tyres as me as I'm also fed up with the crashy ride. These will fit fine on your RR. Yes, they are approx 1 inch greater in diameter or, about an extra 12mm each side of the center cap if that makes sense.

Regarding the speedo, once you've fitted your new wheels, pop along to a LR dealership or a good indy (but probably the former) and ask them to electronically recalibrate your speedo.

There are no longer any cable driven speedo drives on these vehicles, all electronic and easy to readjust by entering the new tyre size into the appropriate field.

There are also a couple of RR Sport on Autotrader at the moment with these wheels and tyres fitted if you want to have a look.

Best.

G

Oh, don't forget to tell your insurance company if you fit non-standard wheels/tyres!

PS Decent ride with the 19's too, I dropped the standard 20's for them and haven't looked back. Tyres cheaper too...

PSS Ignore my first post, I was reading 275/55 20!! You can't see the eyes of the demon until him come callin'

Standard tyre 275/40 x 20 overall diam. 72.80cm. the 255/55 x 20 is 78.85cm. that's quite a difference.

Cheers

275/40 R20 is the same (as near as) to 255/50 R19
Both standard fit for L320 RRS models.

Oman 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Vesuvius Orange

Hi there, slight hijack sorry... Embarassed But as stated 255/55R20 will be fine as I even ran 285/50R20s with no modifications.

I'm currently running 22's and whilst I have no problem with the ride I do want something that can be taken off road and Pirelli P-Zeros and sand don't mix....

So, question is I'm looking at 20" rims and currently favouring Cooper Zeon LTZs in 275/45R20 as even though they fit I think 285/50R20 is a bit much... Does anybody know what AT tyre is available in 255/55R20 as I can't find anything?

Cheers

Seems that size is unusual in a road tyre, never mind AT!
Found these, but obviously not in your neck of the woods Wink Very expensive size too...

I thought that was the older version which is now AT3, so watch the manufacture date if so.
I’m sure member Tyrefitter will be able to confirm. John
