P062B-00 - ECM Problem due to warmth?

Hi all

Driving home from work earlier this week, I was going at around 70 km/h (45mph) when suddenly I get an engine fault - I notice a reduced throttle response, but not nearly as much as when the car would go in to restricted mode. I parked up the car at the side of the road and took out my IID Tool to scan for faults.

I found the following fault:

PCM-Engine SDV6

P062B-00 (2F) Internal control module fuel injector control performance

I remember getting this message last September too, so I cleared the message and was on my way again - no problem for the rest of the trip home.

Next day on my way home, again going +- 45mph, I get the same fault. I parked up the car, cleared the fault and drove off again...but this time the fault came back within a couple of minutes.

The car drives perfectly fine otherwise and I can't notice anything out of the ordinary at all.

The only thing I have found in common was that these were all hot days with temperatures in the 30 degree celsius range (which we rarely get in Belgium). Today it's barely 15 degrees, so have had no issues at all.

Could this be related to the warmth? The engine temperature gauge in the car never goes above the middle though.
Or is the warmth emphasising the actual problem, which causes the fault - but what could be the problem then? ECM on the way out?

Any advice is welcome!
