External air temperature

Last couple of days I have got in the RRS after work and it's showing 8 degrees when it's clearly late teens if not 20 plus outside, after a 3 mile journey it's raised to 13 degrees, is this right to build up to external temp or should it show on start up.
I've located the sensor but can't get the wired plug off or remove the sensor from its mount depite pulling , squeezing and lifting tabs it's not moving.
So is it faulty and how do you remove it if it is ? No skin on my knuckles now Crying or Very sad Nanocom Evo

My 07 did the same thing a couple of times and then sorted itself out, I would sit tight and see if the problem goes away..

After a few days of slow readings it's settled back down to normal, got to love the gremlins in these vehicles, looking forward to the next surprise. Nanocom Evo

It would be pretty boring if they didn't give us something to worry about, I could do with some boredom for awhile Confused 2008 G4 RRSport TDV8 current

Is the external temperature sensor located in this position on a 2011 RRS with the 3.0 TDV6 engine?

On the 2011 models, the sensor is attached to a bracket on the rear of the bumper beam, on the vehicle center-line. Malaysia Boleh!
