HELP!! Washed car. Lots of Faults. Where do I look?

Hi,

I washed the car yesterday at the car wash. I did give the engine a quick wash too...I mean quick.

All good yesterday.

TDV8 2008

Got in car today and have the following faults.

The Body control was there prior to this...something I am reading up on.

The other faults I cannot clear. I am guessing I have water in a connector somewhere???

Any ideas where to look?

I have pulled plugs apart around the battery. All are bone dry and show no signs of water ingress.

Need to fix asap as heading to QLD on Sunday...well hopefully!!

Thanks

Chilly

Ok...all fixed.

With help from Graeme on AULRO.com I have pulled the TCM apart and found water damage....much to my surprise as the area around it was dry, well perhaps not after finding the fault, and so where the plugs.

I have cleaned the board with MAF spray. I did not have anything else at home. I then lacquered the board.

I will purchase a new TCM as a long term solution...and lacquer it before installing.

Transfer Case Module. It controls the transfer box for hi/lo range changes and centre diff locking. It lives next to the Engine ECU in a housing behind the battery box. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

Actually the TCM is the Transmission Control Module and is integrated into the mechatronic inside the gearbox.what the OP was referring to was the TCCM which is the Transfer Case Control Module.

Not trying to score points - I'm not that small minded! Just trying to help people avoid confusion because the workshop manual uses these designations. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
