Sat Nav & Phone Updates

Hi everyone,

My wife & I are looking at buying a 55 plate range rover sport we've been to view it all seems in order but the sat nav was very slow and the phone was the one with the cradle under the arm rest.
My questions are, can the sat nav be updated to current capabilities??
Can the phone be upgraded with a bluetooth module the range has the steering wheel buttons etc If someone has done this or know the link to the part on a website.

Thank you in advance

Sat navs are pretty poor the latest disc you get from land rover is a 2012 disc but you can get discs from a well know auction site which are newer ans site sponsors on here can sell you kits that upgrade the car to blue tooth but phone only there are other ways but with out going into it to deep and welcome to the mad house Thumbs Up

Cd/DVD available from eBay see if your phone finds Land Rover when you activate the Bluetooth on your phone and if it asks for a code try 2121 then we could go from there geoff. Does D 4 Bluetooth kits as do a few others Thumbs Up

The most up to date CD will give you more recent maps but won't make the sat nav any faster since that is a function of the 12 year old hardware.

To be fair although inputting destinations is a bit ponderous the sat nav is quick enough most of the time in that it only occasionally tells you to turn after you've already passed the junction Laughing

If it is speed, accuracy an intuitive interface and useful traffic information you need then just use an app on your phone.

Bodsy is your man for the Bluetooth module update Thumbs Up 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE
