Reduced performance message

Hi , I have rrs supercharged 06 plate , while driving yesterday doing about 75mph a message pinged up saying reduced engine performance , then the speed dropped to approx 50mph . There were no warning lights , also the speed would increase but very slowly . I pulled over turned the engine off for about 30 seconds then restarted it . It the ran as normal with normal performance .. has anybody any idea's what could cause this , it is poss the 2nd time it has happened the wife was driving last time ....

Did you get a warning light did it on mine changed the aux water pump and everything good its quite well known on here search for aux water pump Thumbs Up

Did not get any warning lights , just the message ... is the auxiliary pump anything to do with the supercharger?

sometimes it does not and yes i believe yours may fall in the vin range of the supercharger being wired backwards Thumbs Up

Sorry , what does that mean , is the pump running backwards ? So what do I need to do ?

Yes it Will need a new pump and the wires need to be changed search on here for it or is quite common the pump can be found on eBay try and get a Bosch one bought mine for £110 Thumbs Up

You don't need to buy a new pump, it's the wiring loom that is wired incorrectly not the pump.. you either need to change the pins on the connector, cut and re-wire or brake a tab off the pump then the connector can be reversed.

So Geoff, I would take another look at yours as you've not actually fixed the problem.
