United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Sport TDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
New double din head unit.

Afternoon all!
I have a 2007 2.7 SE sport. It has no Bluetooth but the door speakers have Harmen Karden on them. I also would like to replace the existing head unit with maybe a Pioneer app unit with apple CarPlay. That way I can listen to my iPhone music, have hands free and use the, in my opinion, far superior phone sat nav. I am aware that in order to keep the existing 4x4 info screen, the existing head unit needs to be butchered, sorry, modified!. What I am unsure about is the parts required to achieve this modification and costs involved. What do I need to check for on my car regarding amps, fibre optics etc

Many thanks in advance,

Gary.

It's not a difficult job, but it's quite expensive:

Pretty sure that with this kit you don't need to keep any of the old head unit to to retain the 4x4 info. But it works with the Logic7 system.

That's the kit, did this about a year ago but Censored me, they've upped the price somewhat! It was £169 then iirc but I think they've added Logic support? (you're OK with HK7)

HU modification is very simple/quick & all the rest of the parts are supplied with the above kit, as well as good instructions (+ phone support if needed). I took a switched live from the cigarette lighter (look under cup holder for the wire!). Also added a reversing cam (which your new HU may support), just to add to the complication/fun of the install.
