Tilting door mirrors on reverse and park camera yellow lines

If I had already bought a car, I would be able to look this up in the hand book, as I haven't.....
I have seen a few 2010my cars, some will dip the door mirrors when reverse is selected, some don't. Also, there have been yellow lines on the parking camera on some and not others.
Is this indicative of common faults, or is is something that has to be enabled by the driver?
Thanks,
Chris.

Should have used the search function first, getting a bit giddy Embarassed
So I need to check to see if the reverse image is, er reversed, and if it is the camera is possibly U/S.

If fitted then the reverse dip you set up yourself by engaging reverse then adjusting the mirrors to see what you want when you reverse. The yellow lines on the reversing cam are pre-programmed, there are two sets........ solid ones that bend with the steering input and a 2nd pecked set that are the mirror tips. Additionally when you reverse or drive up to an object then you will get amber warning blocks then red ones as you approach the object. This lot is all connected to the parking sensors.also when the yellow set at the back turn red you are too close to the object to open the tailgate without hitting something. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Appreciate your patience, I currently have a Honda Civic which doesn't even posses a CAN bus, and obviously want to make sure everything works ok when viewing cars. SWMBO laughs each time I take my 4 page check-list out. I get my own back by sitting her in the drivers seat to press all the switches Laughing .

And I hear Honda's never breakdownthey just expire from old age......... we have 2 generations of Civics - one of the Rover built Civics that is now 20 years old and is my Mum's car that does less than 1500 miles a year but sails through MOT's, my sister has a later version with the same boring reliability and my Dad has a 2010 Jazz with the most awful CVT autobox but otherwise is another boring car. But then I have 2 boringly reliable Land Rovers - a 21 year old Defender and a 2.5 year old RRS. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Reverse dip can be turned on and off, but obviously the car needs the seat memory pack.

It's been HSE's that I have viewed thanks.
In fairness, the Civic has not put a foot wrong, just not a Landy.
