Heat seater modules but no switches

Hi,
Have been rummaging around in the back seats and when lifting them, i noticed 3 black boxes that read seat heater modules. However, in the back of the rear console i have no switches for turning on the seat heaters.
My whole back console is missing the aux plug, cigarette plug as well.
So am i right to presume that the seats have heating but just aren't plumbed in yet?

cheers

Well a UK spec HSE would have had heated rear seats as standard.

It does sound like your rear console is missing bits. Maybe you should purchase a panel off Ebay Razz

It does indeed doesn't it. also started tow wonder if my HSE advertised car really is HSE. if the car seat charger modules are functional then i will be looking at getting them working - which means the new back facia for the centre console.

Is there any way to test if they would work? 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

You could remove the rear console panel (which is a bit of a pain, but probably worth it) and see if the switch connectors are present.

If they are, turn the ignition on, and briefly connect the black (earth) wire to the purple wire. Wait a minute of two and see if they get hot.

For info,
1 press is high mode
2nd press is on low mode
3rd press is off.

So only short the wire once.

Thanks. Will try that. Looking at videos for the rear console removal it looks to be a timely job.

Will give it a shot. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

So it seems to have taken me over a year to get aroubd to this.
The rear facia came off surprisingly easy. I have 2 sets of connectors that donmt plug into anythingg.
I have looked at the wiring under the seats and one set branches off into the car, one into the seat and one into the back rest.
A youtbe video showed 2 green connectors for seat heating switches.
Anyone know what i have?

It is a "market specific" thing although surprising in a place that can be pretty cold in winter not to make the rear seat heaters standard. Way back in the 1990's when Freelander 1 was sold the base model cars had no aircon as standard but it was a hugely expensive optional extra. One smart forum member found that in fact ever Freelander 1 that was built for the UK market roiled off the production line with a full aircon system fitted. After delivery all you needed was a 25p switch to have fully working aircon and many people were robbed of about £999.75 for factory fitted a.c when spending 25p would have got them the system! 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Amazing. Thats what one of the 'petrolheads' newrby said. It seems the cars are built with most of the extras. Ht in my case i'm missing the actual on and off switches. And maybe the cff files. 2019 RRS P400e Autobiography

The green plug looks like aux audio input.

The other could be for a power socket. Look further in/ down

thanks.
En route to Portugal so will look when back. Those were the 2 wires that were straight away visible. My rear console panel has no aux in or cigarette lighter. Just a cubby hole.

clearly.
May just wait a while and trade up, rather than spending a little here and there to get what will be standard on a newer car.
