Gearbox Recon Service

I know its not strictly a question about a sport but here goes, my brother-in-law has a 2004 vogue and its developed various gearbox issues now. Big Cry Box Overheat/transmission slap/various faults registering. He wants to get a recon unit fitted, and I said I would ask on here for recommendations for a company. The car is in a midlands location, but could get it trailered etc.

So do you guys have any recommendations you can offer?

thanks...

Beds Auto Transmissions in Luton are well regarded ZF reconditioners. Lots of very good reviews across numerous marque forums.

Just spoke with my brother-in-law he got his FFRR back this week, Beds arranged trailer pickup, repair took a little longer than they expected (I think he said it was 3 weeks) communication was excellent kept him informed. Hot weather (half day shut down) and some blown gearbox electronics/ecu that happened during reassembly had to be replaced.

Had it back a week now, he is over the moon. Super smooth, super quite, all whines and shunts gone, Has to go back on 500 miles for follow-up service, I assume check for any leaks or such.

so, cheers GodivaNige for recommendation.
