It is recommended it is replaced. Apparently it fails rather quickly after reversing the wires. Check out my gallery. It has the tsb. MY12 RRS HSE

Don't quite understand why it would fail if you just reversed the wires to be honest and can't see anything on tsb about reversing the wires or am I just being a bit thick Thumbs Up

Hello geoff
The below describes the wiring orientation on the pump connector. (From the tsb (there are a couple so check you are on the correct one 😋

Correct orientation Range Rover Sport (LS) is:
• Black (B) wire in Cavity 1 connected to "-" pump
connection
• Brown and Purple (NP) wire in Cavity 2 connected
to "+" pump connection
Correct orientation for Range Rover (LM) is:
• Brown (N) wire in Cavity 1 connected to "-" pump
connection
• Red and White (RW) wire in Cavity 2 connected to
"+" pump connection
3. If the wires are crossed, use terminal extractor tool
YRW9000010 from the Harness Repair Kit and swap
cavity 1 and cavity 2 wires to the positions indicated above. MY12 RRS HSE

I got mine approx 7 years ago. It was only £119 from Landrover. Which isnt to bad considering its on permanently. I think they are nearer 150 now, but definitely worth checking with the dealers first, I've found loads of parts cheaper from Landrover rather than eBay etc. May be worth giving Duckworth a pm. MY12 RRS HSE
