Actually, you might, it is still worth checking. it could equally be sod all to do with it, but I like to eliminate possibilities one by one. Occam had a point...............or was it an edge? MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

There was your first mistake, assuming a JLR device would operate as expected! Laughing

Seriously - have seen this problem on XFs, couldn't see the yellow thingy then, either.

Trying it is free................. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

My apologies to wilf .. The misfueling device had in fact triggered and I just couldn't see it ...

My dealer then went to reset it with the yellow tool ... which is supplied in the boot but was actually broken..

They didn''t have another... So one has now been ordered and they had the bloody cheek to tell me it will be 20e

I don't think so ....!! Evil or Very Mad

Apologies unnecessary - after all you did follow up on my suggestion and have now granted me the satisfaction of being (for once) proved right! Laughing MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

I had a DS loan car for a few days when mine went in for AHBA and DPF updates etc. The driver delivering it told me to be very careful when/if refuelling as the misfuelling protection device on it had triggered and wasn't resetting. He advised to trickle the fuel in to avoid splashback. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Just put my MY16 Sept 2015 into the dealer for a "knock" at low speed felt in the brake pedal. To me its as if there is play in the brake system as it occurs with very light brake pressure and not firm brake pressure

However dealer has diagnosed "slosh" and its going in for the fuel tank modification 2016 RRS 4.4 TDV8 Autobiography Dynamic in Montalcino Red and Stealth Kit

I think this is one of those things where the TSB for it starts "If the customer complains........." rather than making it a general recall campaign. I have it on my car between ¾ tank level and 1/3rd level but prefer to live with it rather than loose tank capacity with the modification to fix it 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
