TV Module Fault Codes

Hi Folks

The only fault codes my iiDTool is picking up is for the TV module, codes U3000-49 (2E) Controle Module and B1D58-13 (2E) output circuit. At the moment I am getting TV for a few seconds then the screen goes blank before coming back on - a bit like when in a poor reception area, but I am currently in a very good reception area which I know the RRS TV worked perfectly in before. For the past couple of weeks since having it back from the dealer I've just been getting a blank screen, and sometimes getting sound so now it's an improvement getting picture.

I thought I'd put it out to the forum incase someone can give pointers, but although only having the RRS for a couple of weeks before it going back to the dealer for repair, I had no issue's with the TV. Now I've got it back then this TV issue has arisen - I'm thinking a loose connection.
As it was an EPB module that was replaced at the dealer, I'm thinking the centre console must've been removed for it as the sliding cup holder mechanism had been damaged and couldn't be closed. So how much would have needed stripped down for the EPB replacement, and could this have involved disturbing any TV connections?

It'd be good to have an idea of where I should be heading to check connections before I start delving into things I needn't go near Rolling Eyes I'd rather never have to contact or go near the Peter Vardy Aberdeen dealer ever again due to their abysmal service so would like to see if it's an easy fix first.

Thanks

U3000-49 Internal electronic failure
Television control module failure Clear the DTCs and retest. If fault persists, check and install new television control module as required.

B1D58-13 Television Output - Circuit open
NOTE: Circuit reference - CVBS OUT
CVBS signal circuit open circuit, high resistance
Refer to the electrical circuit diagrams and check the CVBS circuit for open circuit, high resistance.

Cheers
Col

That's great Col, thanks....but what does it all mean Big Cry

Clear the DTC's? Is that just clearing the codes as I've tried clearing all codes and the U3000-49 stayed.

For the CVBS signal circuit open cuircut, high resistance. Could this be a disturbed connection, possibly when replacing the EPB? 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

Hi,

I'm not sure what it all means either but I think the TV Module is under the Drivers Seat, so may be worth checking all the Plugs/Connectors are pushed fully home.

Cheers

I finally got a chance to check the tv module connections under the seat, and other than throwing new codes when I disturbed the connections, the tv is still the same. On for about 20 seconds then a short freeze, then black screen before coming back on again. 13MY Range Rover Sport Autobiography SDV6 - mine

I can find some used hybrid TV modules on ebay for about £100, which I'm not sure if I can justify due to passengers only being able to watch it when parked. Although seldom likely to be used, it just annoys me not working properly.

But would the TV module likely be covered by the LR Approved Warranty? I've looked for my warranty book but cannot find it - it's in that o-so-safe place for safekeeping - so can anyone advise whether the TV module is likely to be covered? I'll only likely get near a dealer to check it comes service time next April.

Just as an update incase anyone else has this issue and needs a fix.

A dealer updated the software and that's it fixed!

I do find it strange how it was working fine, got taken to the Aberdeen dealer I purchased it from by LR assist for an EPB failure then returned with TV not working (I wasn't writing the friendliest emails to them over the other issue's found so soon after purchase...hope they're not vindictive Censored 's)!
It was a different dealer who fixed and no charge / warranty / covered by routine service, so a good outcome overall.
