United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Java Black
Supercharged misfire/eml with no codes

2006 RRS S/C. EML comes on (solid amber) every 150 miles or 3 hours of ignition on. No codes. Reset a number of times same issue at similar miles/ time. Changed plugs, coil packs, checked harness with no issues. Seems to have a slight misfire/unevenness at idle but is not noticeable whilst driving. MPG avg is showing around 18-19 but occasionally seems a little down on power for short intermitted periods which is slight but noticeable then regains normal condition and will be fine again. It is frustrating as I have to drive 120 miles each day and have to wait to see if light reappears after each spanner session and reset. I have a solus pro diagnostics and have looked at various data and all looks well with the exception of a raised long term fuel trim on bank 2. I would expect a code from the O2 sensor but not a dickiebird. I am going to change this at the weekend. Has anyone out there had anything similar or any ideas?

Have you checked that the injectors are vaporising the fuel correctly ?

That could be the cause of the increased fuel trim and slight stumble etc.

Have you checked the wiring to the charge cooler pump, the factory reversed the pins and the fluid flows the wrong way round the system not cooling the air properly, it's a simple case of reversing the pins in the pump connector. It was a tsb back in the day. Life's too short to drive boring cars !

The aux pump would throw a reduced performance warning along with massivley restricted performance.

I have a 2006 RRS S/C and the EML kept coming on amber after travelling for a couple of Miles.
After trawling through lots of posts on this forum I found a possible cause.
Unlikely as it may seem - a fuel cap not fully tightened. After other things didn't work I decided to give it a go.
A couple of clicks on the cap and a few miles later light out. Very Happy 2006 4.2 S/C with Tow Pack, Side Steps, DRL's, 19" & 20" wheels, additional 110 ltr Fuel Tank Roof Rack and performance mods.

1952 Rover 75 (Cyclops) First Car !!! Fond memories -was restored-good for 93mph.
