United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Santorini Black
Wheel Arch Rubbers

Hey all,

The same as most people with an older RRS my wheel arch rubbers are starting to look rather worse for wear. The cheapest I've found for a set of replacements is on eBay for £57

Part numbers are:

Front rubber - CLB500051
Rear Rubber - CLB500061

I can't be the only person who thinks that the asking price on these is a little high considering what they are... can I ?

I've not set up a group buy before, but I'm sure this would be something that a few people would like to get involved in.

Any pointers from someone who's arranged a group buy previously would be appreciated. Would be good to hear from Duckworths and see what kind of deal they could offer too Thumbs Up

I read somewhere on here that a Freelander 2 kit will fit and is cheaper. They do need trimmingt too if I remember correctly

There is a thread somewhere Col posted, I bought the other parts as suggested, think it may have been freelander and if you cut them correctly there's enough for 2 complete sets for RRS Nanocom Evo

I'd read that myself, but while the kit for the freelander is £45, you need to trim them by doing so you're exposing the metal core, meaning they won't last before starting to bubble and rust.

So the £15 saving over the correct ones is false economy.

Did mine 12 months ago and no issues, still have the "spare set" from the same pack in the garage should I need them. Nanocom Evo

I bought the freelancer 2 kit, comes with 6 pieces. Measured out correctly you can make enough for 3 sets. I done my own car then sold the remaining 4 to 2 others.

When you trim them you do expose the metal core. However a pea sized drop of sealant and it's all sealed up.
