That is a nice interior combo but if you wanted all black its a big difference! SVR 2018 in Santorini Black.

I guess this all boils down to if your good lady will be happy with it.

But I do despair of Dealers incapable of even ordering their product correctly - such a basic thing to get right - press for a significant compensation if you do decide to keep it. MY2016 HSE D SDV6 - gone due to fuel dilution problems.

...and this is the NEW order system introduced because of the mistakes that were made with the old system. From my experience, there's still far too much manual transferring of information from one order to another which leaves scope for mistakes to creep in, especially when you don't get to see a copy of the factory order unless you pester for it.

Well that was an interesting 24hrs....

Short version is we're taking it as is.

Longer version is we had planned to sell her V40 privately so had spent last night looking up values. To and fro with dealer and they came up with offer £1,750 higher than our target price. Bit more back and forwards and it got to £2k higher. On top of tax hit and wait for a re-order, plus the decent discount we were already getting (plus the extra depreciation if we wait) made it a reasonable settlement. Plus with black headlining and black interior the ivory does contrast well. So we're back on, the private plate is added and we collect later today with a couple of freebies and a full tank.

So we'll be wafting along Maryhill Road later after all. Smile

Glad you've worked something out. Sounds like you secretly prefer it (shhhh...dealer might be listening!) so you can drive down Maryhill Road smug in the knowledge that you've come out smelling of roses! Smile

I always preferred it, just the good lady that wanted all black. It's a peach though and can't wait to get our mitts on it. Just sorted GAP insurance - £150 for 3 years cover for replacement vehicle value. Bargain.

Got initial quote from ALA (£376), then compared to Total Loss (£189). ALA offered a price match plus 20% extra discount so immediately dropped to £150. They get a great rep and never queries at all, just accepted the deal and had it done in minutes. Didn't have to think too long about that one!

Thanks for the heads up! I got a quote of £400 from ALA so I'll see if I can get it reduced.

Scotland 2011 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Ipanema Sand

Great stuff.

If I hadn't been building a fence to keep donkeys in, I would have stood at the roadside with bunting. Bow down
