MY17 Fixed / Deployable Side Steps and Side tube issue

My dealer told me that Land Rover has blocked installation of fixed / deployable side steps and side tubes on the RR, RRS and Disco5. Anyone else heard this? I saw posts on here about the deployable side steps and possible electrical issues but what could the issue possibly be for fixed side steps and side tubes?

I've just taken delivery of an RRS with deployable side steps and they are working fine. Also, I have front and rear mud flaps which don't affect cameras as I'd read on here.

Thanks donny dog. How long ago did you collect your RRS?

I heard the same tale well before mine was delivered (or even manufactured), I think it's just bullsh*t.

Agree, especially fixed side steps being blocked too! The only reasonable explanation I can think of is maybe there is a faulty batch that has been sent to dealers..dunno. Maybe you lucked out!
