United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Santorini Black

Hmm Shocked not impressed with the average figure there Muddy if I'm honest. On a run, fully loaded i could get 35 mpg in my sport from Yorkshire to Northumbria. On the same run, Mrs Ady gets 45 mpg out of her 2.2L D Rav4. Thumbs Up

Best I ever got in RRS was 35 mpg on run from Yorkshire to Oxford mainly motorway and this was computer which was usually around 10% optimistic so probably 31-32 actual Confused

The 37 miles today was from Faringdon to Henley and country roads using petrol not diesel and Mitsubishi computer to date is fairly accurate - I still think it's good for a 2 tonne SUV Thumbs Up

My 5 month average was mid 80s before this holiday so not sure what it will take to impress you Ady Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Sport 3.0 TDV6 HSE Lux Orkney Grey

Our PHEV averages 38mpg in non-EV mode, our Sport gets around 30.5 and our X5 slightly better at 32 - so they are all about the same used under more-or-less the same conditions on trips >40 miles.

In the 6 months we've had it the PHEV gets used most e.g. 'local' (10-20 mile) trips when tis battery powered; except for the hard acceleration and cold weather demands calls on the ICE - then we regularly see over 230mpg Whistle

Comparing petrol to diesel and getting similar figures is a result itself - petrol SUVs are normally getting low 20s mpg Whistle Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Talk about timing - this has just been posted regarding a petrol DS Whistle

Hi guys,

After 2 full tank with my Si4 in various conditions (highway, small City, normal road) I must admit that the consumption of the Si4 is really... POOR in comparison of the LR paper that claims a 8.2l/100km (34.4 mpg UK).

Actually I'm on the board computer at 12l /100km (23.5mpg UK) with 2 times Mountain road from 400m to 1300m and 200km highway at 130km/h. I have to check if the board computer is right or not. Note that I'm actually driving with Snow tires on... the 20'' original wheels so 245/55/20.

On the first full tank the board computer show a 11l/100km (25.7mpg UK) with a mix of driving.

I was looking at a 9l/100km so it seems that I'm dreaming Laughing .

What are your Si4 comsumptions?

Thanks.

From experience the OBC is around 10% optimistic which would make his actual 22 - so I repeat my earlier conclusion - happy with 34.7 worst case actual mpg for the odd week I am on holiday Wink

Looking forward to charging again and getting my mpg back up nearer 100 though Mr. Green Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Driven 210 miles today from Oxfordshire to Yorkshire without charging and averaged 38.3 with cruise set at 70 most of way

As posted earlier averaged 34.7 sightseeing while away

So I've done approx 700 miles in last week since recharging and computer showed 43% of this was using electric made by engine and regeneration

Even if I wasn't using electric to charge I could live with these figures as a diesel alternative Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

They must have to Ssangyong for that beautiful dash design. I couldn't live with it. I am sure it's a vey good car if you are into frugality but aesthetically, it's not a looker from outside or in.

I heard you the first time Laughing

I've already said it's not as pretty as a LR but everything works, it does what I want it to do and it's a lot cheaper

If it was just about frugality I'd buy a 3 cylinder small hatch and save a load more money but that wouldn't be as easy to live with day to day as the Outlander or as comfortable on a long trip Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Nothing to post SRE - no visits to dealer, no faults - just charging and driving with the occasional petrol stop now I'm back on normal trips Thumbs Up

Made the mistake of showing swmbo the Velar pics and her eyes lit up until I told her no phev version so think I dodged the bullet this time - thanks LR - that could of been expensive Laughing Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Dear Mrs Muddy

There is a PHEV Velar to come in 2018 so you won't have to wait too long for another Range Rover, and it certainly looks a whole lot better than the Mitsubishi.................. unfortunately it will probably be twice the price too and have half the range and a 2lt petrol Ingenium engine that will guzzle petrol when in non-electric mode.

Maybe you need to bother Mr Muddy about swapping the Outlander for a Jaguar iPace - he must be getting close to being old enough to own a Jaguar by now..........

Good job she doesn't read the forum Rolling with laughter

The iPace has caught my eye but not sure if I'm ready for total electric without a backup like petrol - we were away in October off grid and would of been a problem - certainly workable as a 2nd vehicle if I had a phev as well Thumbs Up Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW
