Ok I have gone with your advice guys Cool

Ordered the ebay bottle
and valet pro ph neutral snow foam

It's arrived. Very Happy

A 1 litre applicator bottle, I see the knob works in reverse.
set to - is maximum foam.
set to + is water pressure.

Added 300ml valet pro (white) and 700ml warm water.

Before. Not washed since Jan 1st.
Was a right mess when salt was on the roads but rain has make it look ok.

Very quickly becomes...

foam turned brown with dirt

After pressure wash

Up close it was still very dirty.

Then a wash with a sponge. The sponge got very dirty

There was a bit left.....

Then I diluted what was left.
There was a lot of mud down the sides which hopefully it has loosened.

Overall kind of what I expected.

Not the best stuff since sliced bread, but is good stuff to get the worse of the mud off during/after winter.

It doesn't look like you've got the snowfoam bottle set right,,when I put mine on the car,,even a black car looks completely white.

It was certainly going on thick just didn't stay like that for more than a minute.

I guess I should have another go with the nozzle

Just out of curiosity what was the temperature af the snow foam before you filled the lance bottle! I know after leaving mine in the shed it went milky white and really struggled to foam so now I put the snow foam in a bucket of hot water it goes clear then I use it in my lance bottle and it foams up brilliantly.

Thought I would also share this.

I tried a new product (not new, but new to me) called Greenstar by Koch Chemie, it's an Apc but diluted down to about 10% makes a rather good pre clean, with very little extra degrading to any protection you may have on the car. I.e Wax's or sealants.
I mixed up 200mls with 2 litres and a hand pump sprayer, then went over the entire car leaving for 5 minutes before pressure washing off, then went over with the snow foam afterwards.

And then the obligatory snow foam pic as you can see was getting late. (Valet pro ph neutrals

By the time I had rinsed off and gone over it by hand it was almost dark and the street lights were on so no after pics, besides no doubt ide probably missed some..lol.

It had been in a warm kitchen for a few days.

What are the orange valet pro bottles for? which are more expensive.

I've been using the white valet pro 300ml + 700ml of warm water as per bottle. Is that correct ?

Someone lent me their Karcher bottle. (knob at top). 1 litre bottle.

So using the valet pro I thought I would have a go on the Jag.

Very similar effect. Goes on foamy but soon disappears.

As I had two applicator bottles, I thought I would put a squirt of Autoglym car wash and water in the other and try that.

Doesn't really get rid of the rubbish either, but its a good starting point for the final hand wash.

Must of forgot the final photo Rolling Eyes

Well what do I think of the Karcher v Ebay ?

Very similar applicators. The Karcher one with its quick release bottle is a complete pain in the ar$e, even though I had been warned. So easy to touch removing it from the lance.
Karcher one doesn't seam able to vary the nozzle width, only |/-
Karcher bottle didn't have any volume markings up the side.
So glad I went for the ebay one Thumbs Up

Did the fiesta again. Two lots of snow foam & rinse. Then AG and hand wash. That came up well.

Well I purchased some stone white cherry hi foam.
It's cheap and I guess people won't approve.

It's very consontrated. Used it on the RRS today.
Didn't really foam more suds.
Seam to shift the dirt though I could see it running across the headlights off the bonnet

This stuff should not be left to dry.

I also purchased some meguires wheel cleaner (love their products).
Amazed how silver my wheels are [URL=]

Sept 18 - Purchase billet hammer snowfoam and tried it. Used a strong mix. Went on well, but foam didn't last. Did a good job though.
