Fan belt tensioner replacement tips?

OK got my self a squeaky aux belt tensioner, so after trawling though the good pages on here and also some links to disco3. I'm more than confident of removing and replacing unit and the bearings. I've been to the store cupboard at work and heyho sitting on the shelf are some bearings of the same codes and i have a set of fan removal tools on order.

But was just after any advice from anyone on here who has done it, and may wish to share any pearls of wisdom that would greatly reduce the need to shout out profanities whilst lovingly removing layers of skin from my delicate little sausage fingers, which is very normally the case when i pick up the tools. Thumbs Up

It's dead simple once you've got the fan off.
3/8" ratchet bar to release the pressure off the tensioner to slide the belt off, then 13mm bolt in the centre. Take off, replace. Thumbs Up

But the bearing is only one part of it, they more often fail at the base where the spring is, so not fixable if it's that.
You can tell by looking at the angle of the tensioner. If the arm is not straight in alignment then it's the spring and new tensioner needed.
If that's straight, then it could be the bearing.

The tensioner isn't expensive tbh so personally I'd just replace the unit complete and not have to worry about it then. Bodsys Brake Bible

Mine also needs fixing...
Do you have a Part number?
Should I buy LR original or is it smart to save money on this part?
