2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey
Something to look out for on 2017MY cars

Several owners of recently delivered (ie since beginning of December) 2017MY Evoques have reported over on BabyRR that they cannot make their reverse dipping wing mirrors dip when reverse is engaged and it appears that for 2017MY LR has very quietly and unannounced deleted the function from the cars, it isn't even offered now as a paid option. Anyone who has recently taken delivery of a 2017MY RRS should check that they still have the functioning reverse dipping. It is really sneaky to remove such a useful function without any announcement by Land Rover, almost amounts to sharp practice in my mind. 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it

Hi,
its a safety feature, Exclamation

they will no doubt have it a chargeable New option as an update,
so unlike L/R to keep removing and changing whats std and whats not Whistle

Remember doing an advanced driving session with work and the instructor actually suggested if you did Not have auto dipping mirrors you should manually dip them before reversing, did suggest it may cause a bit of a queue at the supermarket if we all did that.

Thumbs Up

In the Specification and Price Guide from August 2016 it says on page 11

Auto-dimming exterior mirrors (1) 031EB
(1) Includes memory and auto reverse dipping function when ordered with seats with memory.

But i did not check yet if that is still the latest guide to download.

Maybe those guys do not have seats with memory?

Cheers,
Tinu

PS: I just checked, it is still the latest guide. Auto dimming is an option 195 on HSE/HSE Dynamic, Standard on AB and SVR, but auto reverse dipping only included with memory seats.

Correction, I'm sorry.
Should be standard on HSE/Dynamic too with "Power fold, heated door mirrors with approach lights (1)", but the (1) still applies

It's an option on MY17 HSEs.

Strange - the brochure says it is included with the standard power fold, heated mirrors (standard on HSE) when ordered with sears with memory. As standard the seats on the HSE come with memory, so......? As I say, it was on the MY17 car I test drove that apparently was only spec'd with optional sunroof, side steps and privacy glass.

Will find out in 7 weeks I guess! Past the amendment date so too late to change if it isn't on it anyway.

You're right, I missed the fact that all HSE's have electric seats with memory (all RRS in fact?).

I just ordered mine today, so will just need to wait to confirm but I'm pretty certain now will have them.
