Engine System Fault - Round 1

Hi all, and happy new year
I posted before about an engine system fault, and loss of power. Having had a good read through all the codes, and getting some good advice off here (thank you again!) My mechanic and I replaced both EGR valves, one was stuck open but the other seemed ok - not putting it to chance, and having got a good deal on both at a local stockist, decided on fixing both.
Reset all codes, and mechanic said it was fine.
It isn't
So please see the next plea for help post in technical
Not a happy farmer Big Cry

First thing would be to find a new mechanic (you shouldn't need to be telling him what the codes mean and how to fix the faults)
Second would be to check the actuator on the turbo's.

Since changing the EGR's have the error codes changed ?

Did you change the EGR's or blank them ?

Are the definitely EUiv egr valves and not the euiii egr valves? They're slightly different so wonder if this is the issue? You've cleared the fault codes first I assume? Bodsys Brake Bible

thanks guys
Yeah I have replaced the EGR valves, one side was stuck open
Cleared the codes down and it went fine, then after I went through the car wash, it started its tortoise efforts again and I got the turbo related code back, so I believe the actuator is sticking
I don't necessarily tell my mechanic, its just that I like to get involved! I always think it can be a tad ignorant having a car and knowing nothing about it, and it can leave you open to being ripped off if people take you for a numpty! I think he humours me really Very Happy
I will see how it comes back, but then maybe I'll think about Somerset, only prob is its nearly two hours away from me! and I'm very fast running out of cash, but I'll be updating my posts and its great to get feedback off everyone Thumbs Up
