The first car from California based start-up Lucid costs well into six figures and is slated for production in 2018
Luxury electric car start-up Lucid Motors has revealed its very first car – the Lucid Motors Air – unveiling a luxury executive saloon to rival range-topping versions of the Tesla Model S.

The headline figures make for interesting reading. The Air is powered by two electric motors – one on each axle – and combined they produce 986bhp. No top speed has been posted but the Air will accelerate from 0-62mph in a Tesla Model S P100D rivalling 2.5 seconds.

2013 Range Rover Sport SDV6 HSE Stornoway Grey

Launch control will be standard? Trying to get all that power down without wheelspin will be "testing". BTW Jaguar is claiming similar 0-62 for the iPace with a lot less power and AWD so what is the point of having 1000bhp in a road car - willy waving? 2020 Pangea Green 1st Edition D240 New Defender 110 is here and loving it
2018 Melting Silver Mini Countryman PHEV - soon to be replaced
2015MY Corris Grey SDv6 HSE Dynamic, the best car I have ever owned, totally reliable only a cou0le of rattles in 3 years, now no longer in my care
Also in my garage is a 1996 TDi300 Defender 90 County HT made into a fake CSW

Power of that level only becomes useful once the speed increases significantly. Getting off the line is all about traction and excess power is detrimental. 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed
