South Africa 2013 Range Rover Sport Supercharged Siberian Silver
2011-2013 RRS Supercharged

Hi guys,

I'm thinking of trading in my 2011 D4 SDV6 for a 2011-2013 RRS Supercharged.

I would appreciate any pointers on things to look out for, and and recommendations on year model and/or options that are recommended?

Thanks a mil!

Main thing you will need to look out for are Petrol Stations. Rolling with laughter

I thought the tow-bar was for that problem. Towing your own fuel supply! RRS (MY13) Santorini Black SDV6 HSE luxuary

Can't comment on the mechanicals of the S/C engine, but I assume you're looking at a 'facelift' model with the leccy boot?
If so, then I know there was a service bulletin resolving some issues people had.

If you do go for that model, check out a thread on here, whereby you can close from the remote/button inside - very useful IMO Thumbs Up ON THE WAY: BMW F21 M140i

Not sure what you mean by 'leccy' boot?

I am looking at the 2012 year model, with the buttons on the Terrain Response instead of the rotary dial. --

BC means the One Piece power operated tailgate, if its model year MY12 it should have it however it only powers open not closed but one of the members "The Big 1 " designed and built a mod to enable it to power close as well, an excellent mod.

Probably tempting fate but never had any issues with mine, if you go MY12 on should have the later view in the Nav Screen as well which is a little better visually than the previous one although I guess that is a personal preference.

Cheers

this is the one I have my eye on, it's still under service plan until June 2017:

How much is that in Sterling?

Only comment is that it's a bit light on specification. You'll need a tow bar for tugging the fuel load for 5.0L.

I hope fuel is cheaper in S.A. than in UK.

Good luck anyway and welcome to the RRS world. RRS (MY13) Santorini Black SDV6 HSE luxuary

Would love one of these, just can't justify the fuel!

Resale would probably be difficult too.

If you are going to purchase this car I would recommend that you take the detachable tow bar off the vehicle when you are not using it. That is what Land Rover recommend. Make sure that the tow bar is checked and lubricated when you have the car serviced and check that the fit into the chassis sub frame is firm with no movement or rattling. 2015 Range Rover Sport Autobiography Dynamic SDV6
