Help with understanding Range Rover servicing!

Hello,

I have just purchased a Range Rover sport SC, it has 67000 miles and has FSH, when looking at the service history it appears to have 6 options for service type (A, B, C, oil service, inspection 1 and inspection 2)

What is included in all of these, bar oil service as that's quite obvious.

My car is 400 miles overdue a service, how do I find out what it needs?

Last 3 were as follows
Inspection 2 @ 40308
Inspection 1 @ 47293
Oil service @ 59354

Thanks in advanced!

You don't mention which engine or what age (although you imply it is a 4.2 SC, perhaps 2008). But my understanding is RRS is either A or B, alternating each service, with special provisions at certain mileage / age points.

You are quoting what some Charlie has ticked in the service book, I think, like Inspection 2, Oil Service... But do you have the invoices to back up the work? These are likely to be more informative. I have found garages tick those checkboxes at random. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso
RRS TDV6 HSE Lux (MY2011)... Nara Bronze / Arabica - now gone!

No invoices for the work but they were done at lookers Land Rover so have them a call today and all is clear, they actually sent me an email version of the ticklist they use so I could see what was done at each one, inspection 1 is an A service and inspection 2 is a B service. As such it will have had all the standard work done from those services, none of the extra stuff as it hasn't hit the mileage landmarks for them yet.

My question was more around the use of 6 tick boxes which it turns out are listed for 3 types of service option.

The old way was
A service = oil service
B service = Inspection 1
C service = Inspection 2

They have now kicked the oil only one. So have renamed inspection 1 to A and inspection 2 to B.

So now I know and anyone else who needs to know will too.
