Any interest in bulbs/wipers/horns?

I'm not really expecting any of you to want driving lamps, though I would urge you to consider it, because they make a big difference to night time driving.

Intrigued by the wipers. I use rain-x so a wiper that applied something similar sounds like a good idea. Do you have experience of using them? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

No, I can't say that I have yet. I intend to give them a try next time round because they seem to get excellent reviews. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

    H7 - Night Tech - £25.25 - RRP £35.80
    H7 - Xtreme White Plus - £42.70 - RRP £59.27

    Front fogs:

    H11 - Night Tech - £28.25 - RRP £39.91
    H11 - Xtreme White Plus - £49.35 - RRP £68.44

    Cornering lamps:

H8 35=70W - Xtreme White - £64.50 - RRP £89.42 (Please note, these ones are not E-marked for road use)

    RRS2 L494

More fitments are listed on the main thread.

Wipers are listed for both the L320 and L494. Prices (per pair):

"Super Silicone" - Conventional framed type - £31.35 - RRP £44.23
"Sporza" - Framed with spoiler - £40.25 - RRP £55.85
"Silicone-Tech" Flat type - £37.85 - RRP £52.51

I have been informed that the framed types offer the best performance.

I'll add a sign-up to this thread for bulbs and wipers, but please use Disco3 for any lamps and horns so numbers are clear.

All questions welcomed. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Little bump. Thumbs Up

Horns are nearly there now - only need one more to get them at £28, but more also welcome. Smile

No-one after a pair of bulbs? The Xtreme White bulbs are the closest you will get to matching the xenons without the poor life and quality of cheap Ebay ones. Wink

Still considering the wipers RRSTDV8?

Last chance to join the horn group today chaps (or tomorrow morning in practice, but please be ready to pay ASAP if so). I want to sort bulbs and wipers at the same time so now's the best chance.

Are the horns a straight swop for the original?

No, I'm afraid they aren't exactly a straight swap, but what I have done is quite simple - I've carefully bent the existing horn bracket behind the grille upwards and removed the loom clip; the two holes are then used to mount the horns. For the electrical side, the horns take standard spade connectors, so I tapped into the feed behind the grille, and ran a feed via a relay that hangs on the bonnet catch cable to the left of the radiator. The left hand horn by the coolant bottle is just left as-is.

There's more than one way to skin a cat, of course. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Final deadline for any remaining payments and corresponence is now 12 noon tomorrow. After that time I'll have to move on with what we've got. If you still want to participate please, please do get in touch because I don't want anyone to miss out. Sad

Anyone wishing to join until then is welcome as long as they can pay in that timescale also. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Hi all,

Order now placed and I'm expecting it to arrive here by Friday if not tomorrow. Then I shall get it all on its way to you as quickly as I can.

The group buy is currently still open; I'll be doing a second batch with lamps when it ends on Sunday 3rd April, so can still take more orders for bullbs, wipers and horns for then (horns @ £32.50 unless we can get another 10 pairs+). Above all, it would be great if we could reach the 5 pairs of lamps.

Thumbs Up

Bump. Ending this Sunday guys. Thumbs Up

I can now add some personal feedback on the wipers having fitted them to my D3; I'm really pleased with them. There's a clear improvement over standard types with the water running right off. Smile Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK
