Been a while since my last update as I've been busy working. I've finally got around to working on the nitrous install.

It's an 11lb bottle which will be repainted.

And a max extreme controller to map the nitrous through the entire rev range.

The controller is fabricated into the original dome light housing ADAIR V8 SC

Updates

OK so i heard a lot of things about K&N filters causing issues and various things about Pulley upgrades etc.

I have run now with K&N, 10% Pulley, Nitrous and most of my exhaust cut out for 2 years without fault. The car has been custom mapped to take these modifications in to consideration and to squeeze just a little bit more performance out of it.

I am running at about 8MPG and nitrous refills are frequent. I'm running 100bhp of Nitrous progressively mapped throughout the rev range using the MAX Extreme 2 race programmer.

The exhaust modification was to cut out both rear silencers and the 2nd middle silencer. Now when i like it to, it sounds every part the v8 (burbles nicely on downshifts) yet it remains civilised (to a point) when i leave in the early hours and don't want to wake the neighbours!

In these two years i have taken my 70k millage to 132k and it has been faultless... if you don't count the 8 points i have collected for enthusiastic driving. ADAIR V8 SC

10% pulley? Where from? Do you have a dyno printout before/after pulley & remap? Regards etc.,

Powerhouse in Sheffield supplied and fitted the 10% pulley

They also did my Nitrous install although the fabrication work was done by an audio shop in Bishop Strotford. I can dig out their name if anyone wants it

https://powerhouse.uk

I didn't Dyno before or after, been planning to get a few more horses out of it before a definitive dyno but life just got in the way. Sad ADAIR V8 SC

from the power house website:

10% 4.0/4.2 V8 Upper Pulleys

The 10% or “2.5lb” pulley does require aluminium removal from the supercharger snout to reduce diameter and allow clearance for this smaller pulley. The task is quite achievable with DIY skills for the keen home tinkerer (I changed my first one on the drive at home), though even some garages are wary to attempt it until they realise it’s actually quite straightforward, if still a bit of a pain! The extra work with a die grinder or mini belt sander pays off, as these pulleys give 35-40bhp/ftlb midrange increase. We have had more than one customer ring us when they return home from having this job done, and say “no way that is only 40bhp!”. The improvement is a black and white difference and gives these cars a new lease of life. 10% pulleys are £158. ADAIR V8 SC

Nice to hear that there is a big difference, as I've been considering this upgrade.
I thought it wasn't really DIY, as the pulley is pressed on, and requires some heating up to fit properly?

Powerhouse uk have an ebay shop, where they'll exchange the whole unit for one that's already fitted with an upgraded pulley. I've been thinking of going down that route, but if it is an easy DIY, I could just get the pulley itself, which is a lot cheaper? 2006 Java Black HST Supercharged
