Yes, test drove it a couple of months ago. Comfortable car, took it to a really bad road in an industrial estate and it absorbed the potholes and other road imperfections nicely despite not having an air suspension. Decent handling too. All three rows of seats have a decent amount of leg room. 3rd row seats are too low down though but still much better than RRS2 3rd row seats (almost unusable). Engine sounded a bit rattly like Evoque but that could change with the new Ingenium engines. Overall good value for money in my opinion. Current: Volvo XC90 T8 Inscription Pro PHEV with some optionals on top

Not tempted Zilchy, not one tiny bit. I was half thinking about an RRS2, either a V6SC or an 8 but quality issues seem too prevalent. I am happy with the Bavarian, I will probably get an F80 M3 next. I fell the need for something quick but here everyone drives like my old Nanna! M3 for me and a stylish Ewok for the Mrs would be a good combo.

Not bad leg room in the back but having one as a loaner did not temp me one bit, slow uncomfortable horrible manual geardox but I did leave the dealer a RRS2 SDV8 for two weeks.

Speaking to my LR dealership yesterday, had to take a look at one, they reckon the Disco Sport
will erode evoque sales, as it comes fully loaded with Leather, Satnav etc as standard at about 62K
on road, which all costs extra on the (Freelander) Evoque Whistle and a whole lot cheaper when
you take these options into consideration.

With 2 extra kiddie seats in the back it may be more appealing to the "take the kids to sports on saturday"
taxi brigade. They are predicting the evoque will have to get a makeover in order (more goodies and other
reasons to pay a premium) to justify its market in Australia with the launch of the new Sport. The evoque
not only has to compete against the Audi, baby Beemers and Mazda C series, it now has a stable
companion who will be a serious contender. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under

Isn't the Disco Sport just a different Gaylander/Ewok anyway? 07MY RRS TDV6

but with all the toys loaded as standard at entry level unlike the ewok, the Freelander in current
form does now look dated. Another Pommie Bar Steward down under
