Changes on Land Rover configuration

Is there anyone from Land Rover on the forum (Pete?) that can provide some advice for the people on the forum that have ordered and awaiting their build in June.

It would be good to understand what the material changes / improvements have been made and also what options are now standard on the AB.

What options if any do those ordering now or have recently had to influence their ordered specification.

Many thanks

Went into dealers today and they went through the briefing email (45 pages) they get from JLR.

The main changes on AB are the gesture control for the boot, improved def on cameras, access height on auto, incontrol Apps / wifi as standard besides a couple of new colours. More changes on Evoque, SVR and SDV8.

Dealer advised new infotainment has some new text and graphics on home pages etc but given it is similar to the Disco infotainment would stay away from this Harmon Kardon and go with the Meridian any day... Also cannot see huge point of the auto access height, particularly if you have steps... The incontrol etc are all simply included because the baseline cost has increased... Simply LR wanting to get the installed base up by removing them as an option and getting people to have to pay for them.

Changes on build models after 22 June and orders from July.... The more interesting changes are looking at MY17.

They are already talking about MY17? Facelift? I wonder if they will change the headlights to a similar design like that on the MY16 Evoque.

Hopefully if I get an MY16.5 in March it won't be outdated by the time I drive out if the showroom. Rolling Eyes Arrived: MY16 A/B SDV6 in Aruba, Ivory interior, piano black trim, black panoramic roof, spare wheel, blind spot monitoring, mudlaps and more... Twisted Evil

Gone but not forgotten:
2014 RRS2 SDV6 HSE in Loire Blue
2011 Freelander 2 SD4 HSE in Santorini Black

Judging by the way they are updating the MY's every 6 months, having a 'recent' model is not an easy task. I wouldn't mind newer options on a newer MY but I'd rather not order one to find out the facelift is coming right up. I'm looking at delivery or ordering April next year to replace my Evoque. I'm keeping a good eye out for updates on the MY.

JLR updating/changing the model spec does make the car you ordered or have any worse.
