Thanks for that- when updating the maps is it as easy as just putting the new disc in and letting it load? Thanks again

I have now found the DVD player- only problem is that is so well protected that I can't work out how to get to the front of it. I can't see any fixings to the black plastic cover- does this just pull off? Thanks in advance for your help. Thanks

Move the front passenger seat to its highest position and as far forward as it goes then you can reach over the top of the metal plate to access the DVD unit. Move the unlock switch to 'unlock' and then press eject button. Remove the old DVD and load the new one.

To answer your previous Q: Yes you just wait for the system to load. When loading is complete the system will have defaulted to Belgium as the Country so you have to change it to UK. 2008 MY Java Black TDV8 HSE

Yes, the front plastic covers just pull off. The lugs can easily break though so keep it straight. Thumbs Up Visiting from DISCO3.CO.UK

Yes I have the 2012 disc.
Going to get Bluetooth update tomorrow- should be able to stream music from phone allegedly- I've read so many links about the limited s ystem capabilities so should be interesting.

I really appreciate all of your support- really love my new RRS 😊

Will let you know, I gave the dealership the details of the phone and car and he gave me all the features including Bluetooth music player back.
I was surprised because I've read all the threads 're people's attempts to get portable music play In the car through original equipment and various add ons.
was quoted 1/2hr to complete the job , so here's hoping. It's in on Friday so will update after.

I wasn't aware an up to date disc was available for 2005-2009 cars? Get a 2005-2009 RRS (FAH500210) sat nav/dash mat here - the one that wasn't there when you bought the car.

Yeah, no-one else has mentioned this before, so I think it's referring to phone calls only.

I find my Aux-in is fine, as I plug the phone in to charge anyway to the cable doesn't bother me. I just have the cables popping through the cubby-hole lid so that they are tidy and out of the way. 2006 HSE for Sale - £7,499 (Manchester)
