RRS2 MY14.5 (Sept 2014) - knocking noise from front right

Over the past few weeks started to notice a slight knocking noise from the front right I think, hard to pinpoint but certainly ahead of the driving position.

Put the car up to off road height to have a look around the wheel for signs of anything obvious, nothing. Looked under to the bonnet to check anti roll bars and again nothing obvious.

Noise appears once of twice at low speed when first moving off, can't recreate at will and doesn't always do it BUT it's getting more frequent.

Booked into the dealers on 8th April but anyone any ideas or had the same?

(Whilst in dealers getting the tank slosh sorted, drivers seat checked for excessive wear and to see if they have a fix for the 'gap' in the tailgate).

Thanks, Colin Colin

United Kingdom 2010 Range Rover Sport TDV8 HSE Zermatt Silver

I had this on my first HSE Dynamic. I believe it is caused by air in the hydraulic anti-roll system; it can be cured by bleeding the system. 14.5MY SDV6 HSE Dynamic Indus silver/lunar/ebony 20" wheels, InControl, full-size spare, electric tow bar, adaptive xenons, adaptive cruise control, auto main beam assist. Gone: TDV8 HSE; Zermatt silver/ebony, 19" off road alloys, active diff, particle filter, tow pack (it was fun) BMW 730D SE (great car, sadly missed). Ford Focus RS mk2, Ultimate green, lux pack 2, bluetooth. The start of my mid-life crisis.
IN THE GARAGE: BMW i8 - the mid-life crisis continues and it's great fun.

Clonk from front.

Ours has this and we reported it when it went for first service, together with fuel smell when using the fuel burning heater.
Both are being done when the parts have come in.

Looking at Topix shows a couple of different things that can cause the clonks.

so, back at dealers yesterday for a full work-over to find the culprit, nothing Sad
Dealer was at pains to explain what they've done and couldn't have been more helpful.
Checked the bushes on the hydraulic and fixed roll bars - all good, tight and as intended, all the front suspension pieces were checked too and other than some stones here and there, nothing found.
Doing a long run today to see if there's any change but if they can't find it, they can't fix it (doesn't mean it's not there though).
The fuel tank couldn't be done as I had only just filled up - whoops! - back in a couple of weeks for that to be done....must remember to not fill the tank again! The drivers seat is being referred to JLR for comment and still no fix for the dreaded gap in the tailgate (although not losing too much sleep over either of those).
I'll update after the 22nd when it goes back - for anyone that's interested.
Cheers, Colin Colin
