I have a spare E39 clear side repeater in the garage from my M5, I'll look at it and see if it looks feasible (but I am not about to pop my orange ones out to see the fixtures!) L319 D4 HSE

Someone from US has posted on the other forum that BMW E39 clear side repeaters fit with a bit of modding.

Anyone know if there's a difference in US and UK spec ?

There must be one of you ( prev BMW owners ) who has the knowhow on this subject. Will they fit....? There are plenty for sale on ebay.

I was looking at my neighbours BMW and had the same thoughts, that they look like they would fit. Don't fancy pulling his car and mine apart to find out they dont fit though. Wink Its out there somewhere. Second V10 Treg on the drive at the moment.

I have recently changed my Dads side indicators for him on his 03 reg Range Rover. It was very easy to do , no tools required, just strong finger nails. Quick swap with the push fit connectors then push fit new indicators back into bodywork. Simple.

They have replied to my email and requested the overall size of the sports side indicator in MM coupled with a photograph of both the front & rear of the actual indicator [ to compare to the BMW E39 item ]

I wonder if RRUK could take his spare E39 indicator with him to his dealer when hes next in..... and see if they have RR Sport indicator in service/parts to compare with.

Just a thought RRUK

Cheers

Hi guys... that was me!

I have pictures posted on that forum, but here they are in case you want to see what they look like....

PS.. use original BMW ones, because the material is different than those ebay ones and may not provide enough "plastic" to shave...

Ill take some more pictures tonight of the originals compared to the modded E39 ones, as well as an unmodded e39 one... I am fortunate enough to still have my fiancee's E39 530i so I can pull hers off to compare to my modded ones, along with the RRS's

I have just had some feedback from Overfinch ( by email ) I noticed they have fitted clear side repeaters/indicators to their new RRS , so I enquired how much etc. But you have guessed, they are only available as part of what they call The Brunel Grey Styling pack at a cost of £187 !

They would'nt say if would split or sell seperately. Perhaps I'll phone them & discuss bulk buy & sell them to forum members if poss?
