Being fussy

Has anyone been really fussy with there new car order , I hate window stickers and tax disc holders slapped on the window by dealers , it's the position more than anything that cracks me up .
I will be making it quite clear that I don't want any window stickers on my car , they can leave them in the glove box or service book if they feel they have to supply them .

I am with you on this one Thumbs Up

Tax discs have been abolished so you shouldn't have tax disc holder now. I always ask dealer not to stick labels on windows but peel them off straight away if they do Very Happy Wanted a Series 2 LR since childhood but previously owned MY16 Disco Sport HSE TD4 Auto, MY13 RR Sport Black Edition TDV6 Auto, MY10 RR Sport HSE TDV6 Auto, 2007 Freelander 1 Freestyle TD4 Soft Top, 2009 Freelander 2 GS TD4 Auto, 2007 Freelander 2 GS TD4, 2004 Disco 2 Metropolis Auto, 2002 Disco 2 GS, 2000 Freelander 1 SE TD4 SW

Im with you on this. Try peeling off a dealers sticker that's been there a while, from the boot window without breaking the heater elements. They don't need me to advertise for them either. FF 4.4 V8 Soooo looking forward to this bad boy

I completely agree with this they should at the very least ask if you mind them putting the stickers etc. on. I only just noticed when I moved back to England that my dealer in Aberdeen had put Scottish flags on the number plates! Fortunately there was no other advertising on board other than the tax disc holder and a name on the number plate.

I took the car to the new local dealer for a service and they stuck a sticker on the windscreen with their name on it and hand written on the inside informing me that my next service was due at 48000 miles. this was written so badly it looked like 481000 miles! i went back and asked them to remove it, then when he wrote out another sticker with the correct mileage on it he got all upset when i told him i did not want it on the car. I said you will email me , text me and phone me a month before the service is due also the car will inform me when it needs a service plus I'm not a complete clot, I can remember when a service is due.

Oh , number plates , we have a short private plate and I usally change the dealers plates as I think it looks better to have a short reg on a slightly smaller plate 16.5 x 4.5 rather than 20 x 4.5 or even the lager ones are 6 x 20 .
I'm going to have to have the conversation with the dealer now or it will play on my mind .
