Thank you both.

Yes, exhaust tips are a sort of dull chrome I think, just fine, bright chrome requires too much cleaning. One other thing to sort out is the LR badge on the front which is green; I'd like to replace it with black...

Sorry but the audio clip is very poor and doesn't do the car justice. Will do it again when I get it!

I can't believe on the flagship Range Rover Sport they put a GREEN Land Rover badges on it what the F Censored ck they thinking.

Perhaps because that is what a Land Rover badge should look like. After all, it's a Land Rover - Range Rover is just a sub brand of LR. Why not celebrate the heritage? 2012 SDV6 - it's missing a couple of cylinders
2008 TDV8 - it was a labour of love and is much missed

I presume this, therefore, is a car built for 22s but currently running on the compulsory winter tyres in Germnay using a standard Sport wheel - http://www.autogespot.com/land-rover-range...2015/02/14

Looking at that Phil, I'd agree with you. I can only assume they didn't have a set of SVR rims or 22" winters to hand over there.

The 22" SVR Contisport 5s are 295/40R22. If we'd reduced the profile to 35, it would have resulted in a sidewall height of 103mm which is below LR specifications for rim impact protection, hence us sticking with a 40 profile.

Very nice! Looking at the reflection of the vehicle next to yours in the side view shot, I'm wondering if the SVR is so hot it melts the alloys of any car that gets too close Laughing

DaveW, is there any prospect/would there be any benefit in Continental doing the 22" tyre design in 275/45R21?

I'm not very clued up on tyres but does it mean the shod 22 has a larger rolling diameter than the 21 - inch larger rim, 5mm thinner sidewall on each side, or is it more complex than that? Mark

Mark,
That's pretty much it, 795mm plays 781 for the 21s which is still within our software tune limits for SCS etc.

As for Continental, we work closely with them but our 21" tyre needs to remain as an M&S tyre. Were you to fit the CS5, assuming they made one, you'd limit your wish to go off road

Thank you, I certainly do need to do that (go off road), my Subaru was struggling on Thursday in the mud and driving rain.

I'm certainly happy with the prospect of the 21's and prefer the cleaner wheel arch look, but then I would say that! Mark

Congratulations looks amazing!

As for the wheel arch extensions - you mention that the extensions are a legal must for 22''s but none of the cars I can see on Auto Trader (HSE, Dynamic and Autobiographys) riding on 22''s have extensions? They look no different to cars riding on 20's or 21's ?

I'm no expert but I think it's down to the 295 width of the tyres on the SVR's 22 inch wheels. Maybe the width of the tyres on other 22's is not enough to cause them to protrude outside the bodywork.

The white car I saw had 22s and those tyres are massive, a combination of the diameter and width. Mark

All RRS products on 22"s take the 275 width tyre, so no need for spats. The 295 is unique to SVR.
